These Alexander McQueen sunglasses are my favorite! One handle broke during an unfortunate encounter with an overzealous puppy, but I nursed them back to health :)
I wore this to the Wynwood Art Walk a couple of weekends ago. The art walk is a really cool event that takes place on the second Saturday of every month. Basically, all the galleries in the area stay open until the wee hours of the morning and allow art lovers, such as myself, to visit and view their collections. And, if that's not enough to tickle your fancy, there are also tons and tons of (insert drumroll here) FOOD TRUCKS. It's a definite must do if you live in, or are visiting, the M-I-A.
Now, on to the fashion. These pants were definitely an attention grabber. People were glancing at them the entire night. Now, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing LOL. But, either way, I still love them! They're ultra fun and comfortable. I've actually had these pants for quite some time now and struggled to figure out how to wear them. After many false starts, I finally figured out that the secret to making these pants look good is to pair them with a top that creates a contrast in textures. For me, contrasting textures creates an interesting outfit and is something I routinely do. Usually, if my blouse is light and flowy, I gravitate to a more structured pant or skirt. So, I decided to flip the script and use the same philosophy on these pants. I paired them with a cotton button down shirt from J Crew and I'm loving the outcome. What do you think?
Lots of Love,
