Berry Blend

Jacket: Forever 21, Dress: Vintage, Belt: Betsey Johnson, Shoes: Nine West (amazingly old), Clutch: Nine West, Sunglasses: Edward Beiner, Earrings: Vintage

First of all, the love that I have received over the past few days has been overwhelming. I really want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to visit me. I appreciate and value your feedback more than you will ever know.

Now, on to the fashion. Two of my great loves right now are color blocking and bright pink dresses. Hence, the outfit above. I think the slight variations in shade and color make for a very pretty outfit. My favorite part of the outfit is the plum Forever 21 blazer. Something about that color speaks to me right now.

Forever 21 is one of my favorite places to shop for blazers in unique colors. Some may argue that the quality of the blazers at Forever 21 is lacking. To that I say, who cares, the price is amazingly right. Honestly, I do subscribe to the theory that investing in quality pieces that last a lifetime is a better practice than re-purchasing copious amounts of the same item over and over again. However, in my opinion, that philosophy only applies to those pieces that will be fashion constants in your closet. For trendier items, I say Forever 21 all the way. I doubt that I'll be rocking a plum colored blazer when I'm 80 years old soooo I will proudly rock this $30 blazer and put the other $200 bucks in the bank.

Lots of Love,

Jillian

  5. I totally agree. I mean, I highly doubt I will rock cobalt blue cigarette pants in 20 years. Why spend $150 on them now? This color combination is absolutely yummy.

  15. Forever 21, H&M and a few other retail stores in NY (downtown/Soho) are awesomely priced and have great finds. Something tells me you could rock that blazer at 100! LOL

    1. I love shopping in New York! You're lucky! Unfortunately, the H&M store near Miami is completely out of the way for me. So, Forever 21 is my absolute go to store for cute and cheap finds. I'm crossing my fingers that I'm one of those hip older ladies!

This message is just to let you know that your style is unique and gorgeous.
