Happy Hatter

Dress: Zara, Trench: Forever 21, Hat: Target, Shoes: Sam Edelman, Necklace: Jewelry Boutique, Necklace worn as bracelet: Betsey Johnson, Watch: Rolex, Bag: Fendi

So, I'm kinda obsessed with hats now. Primarily because of how amazing Taylor Swift looks in her hat on the cover of this month's issue of Vogue. It has also been awfully gloomy and rainy in Miami and nothing saves you from a bad hair day like a good wide-brimmed hat.

I bought this hat at Target. It was on clearance and ended up costing only 5 bucks. The hat was also available in black, but a very determined and limber older lady practically back-flipped across the aisle to grab that hat before I did. Since Kung-Fu Granny scooped up the black one, I was left with this plum color. Truth be told, she probably did me a favor. This plum color is just as versatile as black, but it makes a louder statement (take that over-zealous shopper lol).

I paired my hat with this mustard-y dress from Zara that was also on sale. Plum and mustard are one of my favorite color pairings. Actually, any color named after an edible item usually gets my seal of approval. I topped it all of with my favorite bag in the entire world - Fendi's "Spy Bag". I cyber stalked this bag for a full three years while I was in law school. I never thought I'd actually have one, but on my first birthday after graduation my husband surprised me with my very own. She definitely gets top billing in my closet.

Happy Monday Sweeties! This week is going to be amazing just because we said so!

Lots of Love,
Jillian

  8. Kung Fu Granny is tooo funny! I think you probably got the better of the too colors anyway, although I probably would have grabbed the black too. Anyone can make the black work and you did a great job styling the plum. The hat is simply gorgeous! I love my hair but I miss being able to wear hats because of it being to big...lol. Again, You look great as usual. :)
