I wore this outfit to a last minute brunch date with my husband. Our favorite brunch spot was completely booked, so we decided to take the short walk over to the Four Seasons. The food and service were absolutely ah-maze-ing!
Since I knew I'd be doing some heavy duty eating, I opted for this crochet dress. It's super light and roomy enough to hide the after effects of my brunching. Crochet dresses can be a little tricky to wear since they really don't have too much shape. To lessen the risk of me looking like a gigantic tent, I always wear this dress with a structured blazer. The structure from the blazer gives the dress some shape and immediately makes it more flattering.
I also paired this dress with leopard sandals that were gifted to me by a super sweet friend. Though leopard print is usually mixed with punchier colors, I think mixing leopard with a neutral palette is another cute way to show off your spots.
Lots of Love,
Jillian

love the color combo! nothing like a good blazer and leopard to save the day!!!!

This blazer sure did save the day on this day. It was a lot chillier than I expected (hence the clenched fist in a couple of the pics lol). I would've turned into a popsicle if I didn't have it.
DeleteVery nice Jillian. I appreciate how you went out your way to find alternatives for the different budgets your readers have. Pretty awesome. You look really nice. Pulled off a crochet dress!

LOL. Thanks madame!
DeleteI like this mix of neutrals and texture. As a bit of a blazer addict myself, I really love this white one (sleeves pushed, of course :-). I think it would look great as a grounding piece for an outfit with mixed prints. Adding "white blazer" to my spring shopping list...Thanks for the inspiration!
