Skirt: Zara (Similar LO, Similar HI), Blouse: Mango (here), Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Pigalle Plato, Clutch: Zara( Similar HI, Similar LO), Necklace+Bracelet: Fantasy World Jewelry in Miami, Studs: Tiffany&Co.
Happy hump-day Lovelies! I wore this outfit to a friend's show this weekend. It was miserably hot in Miami, so I went with cooler fabrics to avoid melting all over South Beach.
If you follow me on twitter, you know that I spent a large part of this weekend taking advantage of a ton of President's Day sales. I actually picked up this entire outfit during this weekend's shopping expedition. I loved the length, pleats, and color of this hi-lo skirt and absolutely adored the idea of pairing it with such a simple shirt. Unfortunately, the skirt was only slightly discounted! Because everything else around me was marked down by 75% or more, I seriously considered leaving the skirt (I'm kind of a discount addict). In the end, I bought the skirt instead of stocking up on a ton of mega-discounted items that I'd probably never wear. I guess I'm finally realizing that it's only a deal if you actually wear what you buy. Does anyone else fall into the "but, it's such a good deal" trap? :)
DEAL ALERT:
I bought this red "clutch"on sale for only $20. It's actually supposed to be worn as a shoulder bag, but I think it's much more attractive as a clutch. Tucking my shoulder straps into the body of my bags has always been a go-to way to expand my "clutch" collection. There were a ton of these bags at the Zara on South Beach. If you're feeling it, and live in Miami, now would definitely be the time to go!
Lots of Love,
Jillian
I love !!!!

Cute skirt. I was just talking about pleats in my post today.

Love that skirt.. i've yet to try the hi/low look, but you've just convinced me to do it, you look beautiful as always .. wish I could complain about the heat right now :) but i'm visiting Miami next month and can't wait.. can you recommend any consignment shops or thrift stores in the Miami area?
ReplyDeleteToni
Hey Missy!
DeleteI'm sure you'll be complaining about the heat when you get here next month. We're on another level of hot right now :). I definitely can Missy! I'm in love with a couple boutiques near South Beach. I also think you should at least stop by Fantasy World jewelry, if your a costume jewelry type of person. Email me and I'll give you all the addresses and my info.

Very cute. I too am learning to be a smart shopper. I was at F21 the other day and there was the cutest dress that I knew shouldn't get and I didn't because I knew it was a one wear type of dress. You just learn later one what is worth your money and what is it not.

Isn't that the truth! I need to paste this comment on my bathroom mirror LOL. Here's to learning as you go.

Thank you so much missy! I love this necklace too. It's a tad bit heavy though. I usually slip it off in the middle of the day so i can rest a little (the crazy things we do for fashion). lol

Love the fishtail skirt! I've been stalking it since it hit the Zara site, it's so versatile. Beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteXx
Thank you Missy! OOO I love calling it a fishtail skirt as opposed to a hi/lo. It's odd that this skirt is not on the website but, the Zara in South Beach has quite a few. Gas up the car girl :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog and sending positive energy,it is very appreciated. This post actually spoke to me as well. I have several things at home with the tags still attached because it was such a 'great deal', however I'm not sure when or if ever I'll wear them. I'm trying to start asking myself, 'is this a piece I can't live without' or 'is this something that's relatively timeless'.
ReplyDeleteSo true! I'm just realizing that I'm a gigantic sucker for a sale :(. Glad my positive energy helped. Thanks for stopping by.

Jillian
