J.Lo is one of those celebs that I constantly look at and wonder how the heck she manages to always look so appropriately pulled together in so many different situations. Ms. Lopez always
manages to look relaxed and cool, yet still effortlessly chic. So, I plopped the image above into my memory bank and pulled it out for inspiration when deciding what to wear to an early dinner date with a friend.

For me, recreating a celebrity look isn't really about matching up all the same pieces. First of all, I can't afford it. J.Lo's shorts alone are a whopping $1700. My shorts and blouse together were only $60 :).  Second of all, twisting up the elements of a celeb outfit leaves room for me to add my own flair, regardless of who the outfit is inspired by. A big part of style is expressing yourself, which is impossible to do if you're just copying someone else. What do you think about this twist?
