Now, I know you really can't tell, but I'm wearing a pastel skirt....lol
Blouse: Red Haute
Skirt: Vintage (from my mommy)
Shoes: Two Lips
Belt: Ralph Lauren
Clutch: Dooney and Bourke
Sunglasses: Gucci
Necklace: Bijoux Jewelry Store in
Miami
Watch: Rolex
Necklace (worn as bracelet): Beverly Johnson
This skirt is a light mint pastel color that conjures up memories of Easter
dresses passed. You know, those impossibly poofy pastel dresses that you
wore through all 16 hours of Easter festivities when you were a kid. Then, and now, pastels always manage to make me feel amazingly girly.
Though darker colored suits and separates are king in the corporate world, I think it's a fun change of pace to indulge in some pastel love. Really, nothing screams powerful louder than conducting very serious business in very playful colors. Stay in the same colorway, mix different pastel shades, or pair your pastels with more traditional neutrals - you really can't go wrong. Just remember to anchor your pastels with neutral accessories and you'll be office appropriate and in vogue at the same time.
Lots of Love,
Jillian
These colours look fab on you and I'm loving that necklace- so perfect for spring.

I'm falling in love with the muted pastel palette for spring. Like you, that was my first thought -- Easter. That's probably why I avoided pastels for years! I love this look and your necklace is a real statement piece.

ReplyDeleteI know exactly the dresses you speak of. My Grandmother would make my sister and I matching Easter dresses and they were nothing short of poufy, lacy and girly. Loved it. I also love this pretty mint pencil skirt! So pretty!
