I love fashion! Unfortunately, I work in a VERY conservative field that doesn't allow me to express that side of my personality. Could you give me some ideas on how to look chic and work appropriate? I'd like to stay away from colors or anything too low cut (I'm a busty girl). Also, I'm a new mommy so I need to get dressed quickly and hide a couple problem areas.
Answer:
First of all, thanks so much for requesting my advice. The only thing I like better than shopping for myself, is shopping for others.
In my opinion, if you can't go too crazy with colors and prints, you can always rely on texture and detailing to help your look stand out. Draping, pleating, and ruching should be your best friends. Not only do they make your garment appear more complex, they also help hide any "problem areas" that may exist. Subtle details, such as unexpected zippers or fancy buttons, are also some of my favorite ways to keep my work attire exciting.
Also, since your little one leaves you with less time, opt for work dresses instead of separates. Dresses are easier to pull on in the morning. Plus, they eliminate the hassle of worrying about pressing and matching two items. Finish your look off with some amazing pumps and one statement piece and you're ready to conquer the world. Here's a look that I put together for you.
Dress: Ralph Lauren (Similar Here)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato (Similar Here)
Watch: Michele (Here)
Statement Necklace: Bijoux Jewelry (Miami, FL)
Here is a closer look at the details on this dress. The pleats, slightly capped sleeve, and wrapped v-neck all help the dress stand out despite its conservative color. Plus, the wrap v-neckline definitely keeps the "girls" under wraps :).
I hope this helps. Also, don't be afraid to add subtle color into your work wardrobe. Certain colors can actually fit in rather well in the workplace.
I had so much fun doing this. Please don't hesitate to send some more questions my way.
Have a great day and thank you so much for reading!

Hey Jillian! You gave such great advice here, and you look so well put together. Would love to get your thoughts on bright nail color for the work place? With all of the amazing colors out there, I struggle with picking work-safe neutrals.
