I wore this dress to a Carnival-themed birthday party this weekend. For those of you who aren't familiar with Carnival, here's a pretty basic explanation of it all. Each year, each Caribbean island chooses a weekend where everyone on the island converges on selected streets to party. There's non-stop dancing, drinks, food, and laughs. If you haven't been and have an opportunity to go - please do. You'll have a blast!

Since this was a Carnival-themed birthday party I kept my outfit pretty festive. The color of this dress just screams PARTY! Since the color is so vivid, I paired it with mostly neutral accessories. My neon clutch was a last minute addition for some extra oomph. Trust me, you really can't be too bright for one of these parties.

By the Way: I definitely have not forgotten about the scholarship competition. Unfortunately, despite all of the positive feedback I received, I do not have enough submissions. So, the competition is postponed until further notice. Please send in your entries and encourage young ladies and gents who may be interested to submit their photos. Go ahead lovelies, submit those photos - promise it'll be fun.
