Restaurant Review: Harry's Pizzeria

Harry’s pizzeria is one of those places that makes you feel instantly cooler just by walking in. Harry's, which is nestled between the glamor of designer stores like Marni and the grit of the Wynwood neighborhood of old, embodies the best of both worlds. An unexpected mix of unique pairings and fun decor, Harry's manages to be laid back and upper crust (pun intended) all at the same time.

Décor:

The place is beautifully designed. The fun wall treatments, exposed brick, and dark wood accents make for a very visually appealing pizza parlor. Now, I must warn you, Harry’s is definitely not the biggest pizza spot in the world. But, the place never feels too cramped.

Appetizers:

Ummm one word, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We started off with one of their most popular appetizers  - the polenta fries. I’m not the biggest fan of polenta, but I could not stop eating these fries. They were crispy on the outside and soft, but sturdy, on the inside.  (We actually got six fries, but I ate two of them before I remembered to snap the picture lol)

Pizzas:

Harry's is known for its atypical pizza toppings. While you won't find regular cheese or pepperoni pizza on the menu, you will find some amazing gourmet pizza's that will have you seeing pizza in a brand new light.

I had the rock shrimp pizza.  It was topped with a more than generous amount of shrimp, grilled lemon, manchego cheese, scallions and cilantro. I highly doubt that I would’ve put those topping together, but I loved every bit of it. The crust was thin but chewy (just how I like it) and all the ingredients tasted amazingly fresh.

My husband, the meat lover, ordered the MGFD bacon pizza. This pizza was topped with bacon (of course), fingerling potatoes, caramelized onions, cave aged gruyere cheese, and arugula.

The pizza options are slightly limited, but don’t second guess the menu. Just order a pizza AS IS and wait to fall in love.

Cost:
Both pizza’s and the polenta fries came up to $35 before tax and tip.

Final Verdict:
Harry's is definitely a great place to take a date or hang out with friends. You'll get great food, at a good price, in a really cool neighborhood. You really can’t beat what Harry’s is tossing up.
