Hey lovelies,
Since I know that we’re always looking for quick ways to stay fab, I thought I’d do a quick post on one of my favorite beauty time-savers – shellac manicures. Shellac manicures are this girl’s best friend when I need my nails to look good, but have zero free time. These manicures stay chip-free and glossy for up to 14 days. And, if that’s not enough to send you running to your nearest nail salon, these manicures also dry almost immediately after application. If you’re anything like me and have smudged your nails while paying for your mani, on your way to your car immediately after your mani, or opening your front door 20 minutes after your mani – you understand my excitement. Also, chipped nails at work are usually a no-no, so a chip free manicure could leave you with one less thing to stress about.
Like most nail treatments, you should definitely do your research before getting a shellac manicure. My nails haven’t been damaged by my shellac manicures, but I have read some reviews that mention countless negative effects. For me, shellac manicures are something that I do when I know I will be extremely pressed for time or will not have access to my usual nail technician.
Have any of you lovelies had a shellac manicure? If so, what was your experience and would you recommend it.
Love,
Jillian
I LOVE shellac. I get it anytime I have a few events in a row and need to look on point. I don't get it often because I hate the removal process, but it is absolutely worth the little bit of extra money.
ReplyDeleteIt looks nice and love the colour :D
ReplyDeleteIs that the same as the gelish manicures? My daughter got me a kit to do the gel manicures at home and can I say, I LOVE IT! It's just as you described. Polish stays put. No chipping. Gorgeous. LOVE it! You nails look fabulous! ~Serene
ReplyDeletePretty mani!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE shellac manicures!!! Mine usually last a minimum of 2 weeks and I'm a nurse. I usually change the color ever other week...I don't think I'll ever go back to regular polish again!!! I just hope they come out with more colors more frequently.
ReplyDeleteYes Yes Yes! I love it and I have actually purchased the Gelish kit where I can do it all from home. I actually just did a review this past week and am working on a video this weekend. ;)

I love the shellac manicures, but it not something you can remove or change at home without a hassle. Great if you love wearing the same color for 2 weeks, after a week sometimes days I get a little tired of the same color. Your is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThats a gorgeous color! Your nails are to die for!
ReplyDeleteI love shellac! I have experienced damage. That is because I peeled it off and didn't wait to get it professionally removed. I would recommend letting the shop soak the shellac off for you. Other than that, I love it! I hear you can paint on top, remove the polish and the shellac will still be there looking good!
ReplyDeleteWow Chasity that is nice to know. I will try the polish over them, great idea.
DeleteThat is so very true Chastity. Regular nail polish wipes right off. You can't lose with this stuff
DeleteI tried it it started peeling the next day. I hear they say some brands are better. Maybe I will try it again.
ReplyDeleteI hate to veer off subject, but what article or book are you reading?
