Palazzo Pants + Paradise

I wore this outfit to check out the Tulum ruins in Mexico. And, let me tell you, if you haven't been there before, it's definitely a locale to add to your bucket list. It was hands down one of the most unique travel experiences I've had. Not only because I was walking around a city that was built in the thirteenth century, but also because of the remarkable secret that's hiding within Tulum.

Though Tulum is pretty darn old,  it's relatively new when compared to other Mayan ruins. As one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Mayans, many of the castles and structures are in pretty good shape. There are even some structures where the original Mayan symbols and sculptures are prominently displayed and recognizable. But, the icing on it all is the secret beach slightly beyond the ruins. After roaming through the stone sculptures, land ubruptly ends and a gigantic stairway leads you to one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen.

I wasn't planning on swimming but couldn't resist going for a dip!

Since mosquitoes LOVE me, i opted for these palazzo pants. Though they are pants, the material was so light that it allowed for lots of ventilation. My netted Michael Kors top also allowed a lot of air in and turned into a great cover-up after I was done swimming. I definitely could've opted for shorts and a tank, but this outfit gave me a lot more protection from the elements and also allowed for a really nice diner after it all. Smooches
