Mara Hoffman at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim

When I'm  not chained away at a desk somewhere, you can probably find me in someone's restaurant, or on someone's beach. So, it's no shock that when I got an invite to the Mara Hoffman show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim, I jumped at the chance. In addition to seeing the show, I also got a chance to go backstage and catch a glimpse of the intense preparation that goes on behind the scenes. This was my first fashion show, so it was really amazing to see the organized chaos and the beauty that resulted from it all.

The Make-UP:
Make-Up Forever handled the make-up for the show. Their artists vamped the girls up with smokey eyes and muted lips. And, since the theme of the show was "Desert Outlaw Gypsy," this look was the perfect choice to give off that sun-beaten 'bad girl' look.

The Hair:
TIGI, the maker of BedHead products, was responsible for the hair at the show.  All the girls got their hair wand curled, and teased out.  I've never used a curl wand before but after seeing the gorgeous loose waves they created, I'm thinking about trying one.

The Show:
All in all, the show was amazing. The patterns were gorgeous, the colors were vibrant, the details were unique, and best of all, there was something for everyone. Here are my favorites from the show.

Love,
Jillian
