I wore this outfit to grab a quick bite with an old friend over the weekend. Unfortunately, she called just before I settled in to catch the first episode of ‘Breaking Bad’ and right after I slipped into my comfy J Crew t-shirt. Since I didn’t have much time or energy to get fully dressed, I decided to leave my comfy tee on. I just added my Rachel Roy leather shorts and Zara jacquard blazer to avoid that “I just rolled out of bed” look.
I also added a couple of vintage brooches and my favorite pair of vintage earrings. For me, vintage jewelry can be a cheap way to add unique jeweled pieces to a collection. I purchased both brooches and the earrings for about $5 total. My advice would be to scour your local thrift and vintage stores for some one of a kind finds. Also, I always coat my vintage pieces with clear nail polish. This stops the jewelry from tarnishing and pretty much guarantees that you’ll be rocking your vintage pieces for years to come.
