Since my birthday is in a couple days, I
spent the weekend getting the party started a little early. That meant
dinners with my family, lounging with my friends, and collecting all
sorts of pre-birthday gifts from my husband. One of my pre-birthday
gifts were these amazing Amrita Singh drop earrings. Since these
earrings are a statement all by themselves, I chose to pair them with
minimal jewelry and a solid color dress.
For me,
statement earrings and necklaces always look best when left to shine on
their own. Adding too many additional pieces of jewelry can muddle the
impact of a really amazing statement piece. A good rule of thumb is to steer clear from wearing both a statement necklace and statement earrings at
the same time. That way, no one loses sight of the real star of the show - your pretty face :)!
