I wore this Helmut Lang dress to grab a bite with the Hubster over the weekend. There's something about the draping and cut of a Helmut Lang dress that always manages to give off that care-free elegant vibe. Plus, Helmut Lang dresses are usually full of cool details that stand out enough to get you noticed, but coexist peacefully with other statement pieces. I always feel too cool for school in these dresses.

I chose to add a bit of spice to this dress with dramatic tassel earrings, chunky bracelets, and my DIY clutch. This clutch is actually the Sean Jean faux fur vest from THIS super vintage post. I just cut out the back of the jacket, wrapped it around one of my old clutches, sewed up the edges - and VOILA. Not only does it add some great texture to the outfit, it's also really fun to carry around. 

Honestly ladies, if you're ever in doubt about what to wear on a date night, grab a draped Helmut Lang Dress and some nude pumps and your good - to - go.

Note: These dresses are pretty pricey if you buy them at full price. My advice is to visit stores like Loehmann's and Nordstrom Rack. I have had great luck finding them at DEEPLY discounted prices there.
