Blazers should be a staple in most working
girl wardrobes. They pull an outfit together in a flash, save you from frigid
work temps, and allow you to wear all sorts of otherwise inappropriate tops
to work. Though they are a breeze to wear, it can be fun to expend a little
extra effort to jazz them up. For me, belting a blazer is a really cool way to switch
up the look of a tried and true blazer. Somehow adding a belt to a blazer always
manages to give off that effortlessly chic look. Sometimes, I even scrunch up
the sleeves of my belted blazer to amp up that “cool girl at
the office” vibe. Do you belt your blazers?
P.S. I purchased this blazer before Bordeaux
became the ‘color of the season.’ Don’t you love when the fashion stars align
like that?
Love,
Jillian
That color blazer looks great against the white.
ReplyDeleteSo true! But then again, I think everything looks great against white. lol

I love this blazer! And I also just ordered a bow belt from F21 last night, so I will try this! Thanks for the inspiration!

No problem Missy! I got this belt for $5 at Forever 21. I picked up three of them just in case I run into some quality issues down the line. Was that excessive? lol
DeleteI totally agree- blazers are my go to as well, since I work in an "office" environment-- I have a whole wardrobe full of them! But I dnt think I've ever belted any of them! Usually I'll belt the top or sweater underneath the blazer, but I do love the look! I think I may ty it out! :)

Hey Kris!
DeleteI love the look of a belted blazer underneath the blazer as well. Because I'm busty, blazers can make me look a little heavier than I am. I belt on the outside of the blazer just to create a slimmer shape.

Very classy and sophisticated!

I've attempted to belt my blazers before except it didn't work out so well because of the shape for me. I adore what you have done with yours though!

Thanks Maggie!
DeleteI think belting works better on blazers with thinner fabrics. Also, I usually use skinny belts. Because I'm a shorter girl, belting with a wide belt takes my look from chic to WWE in an instant.

Great!!!!
