Leather-sleeved trench coats are high on my list of loves right now. However, ponying up the cash for a leather-sleeved trench, while living in Miami, is low on my list of things to do. So, when Jennifer from (CommeCoco) highlighted how easy it would be to create a contrast sleeve jacket by pairing a leather jacket underneath a sleeveless vest, I knew I had to try it. Lucky for me, I didn’t have to wait too long to put this idea into effect. Yesterday the weather took a dip and gave me the perfect opportunity to create my own leather-sleeved trench using my tried and true forever 21 sleeveless trench, and a new faux leather jacket from Macy’s. I also paired my leather-sleeved trench with a pair of faux leather shorts just to remind myself that it is, after all, still Miami.

What do you guys think? I absolutely adore the outcome! And, I can completely see myself wearing this on chilly commutes to the office - sans the shorts, of course :)
