'Tis the Season

Usually around this time of the year, I’m wondering where in the world did the time go?! Pretty soon, we'll be surrounded by ghouls and goblins, turkeys, Christmas ornaments and before you know it, the year is over. For me, this time of year is always jam packed with parties, get-togethers, and dinners. I wore this outfit to my first get-together of the season. Instead of buying a new dress for the occasion, I simply cut a high slit into an old pleated skirt, paired it with an eye-catching top, added some statement pumps, and piled on the jewelry. I love the drama that the high slit adds to this old skirt. Though the slit looks scandalously high, trust me, the lining underneath made sure that the rated R moments were kept at bay. Well, at least most of the time. A girl could use a little bit of scandal once in a while! :)
BTW: Since we're on the topic of scandals, is anyone else as obsessed with this show as I am? I stayed up till 4 am watching season 1.

  1. Yep scandal is the best show ever. I watched all of season 1 in two days last week just in time for the new season. netflix is the bomb for watching shows.

  24. Beautiful! I saw a youtube how-to video for a pleated maxi skirt and I bought black chiffon cloth to try it and here you are with this skirt on it's a sign lol lol can't wait to make it now!
