BoHo meets Boardroom

Hey Lovelies,

Last Friday, I ditched work early and headed out for a date with the girls. We headed over to South Beach to grab a bite and engage in one of our favorite pastimes - people watching. If you've been to Lincoln Road on South Beach, then you already know that it's probably the best place in Miami to kick back and take in the masses. There's some pretty amazing street style strutting up and down  that strip.

Since I knew there would be no time for changing, I went with this "casual Friday" outfit. Though I'm not wearing jeans, the nontraditional work silhouette and relaxed fitting blouse make this outfit casual. In my opinion, casual Friday not only allows you to wear non-traditional work materials (i.e. denim), it allows you to incorporate nontraditional work silhouettes as well. For example, this high-waisted, wide-legged pant would not be on my list of things to wear to work on Monday through Thursday, but on Friday this BoHo meets boardroom look makes sense.

And, of course, I had to top off the look with one of my favorite hats. After all this is South Beach, no?

Love,
Jillian
