Hello Lovelies,

My first college job started with a bang and ended up a big disaster. After interviewing for weeks, I finally landed the highest paying work-study job on campus. I was so amped that I decided to celebrate by skipping out on work to purchase a new pair of celebratory shoes at my favorite consignment shop. When I arrived at work the next day, I was expeditiously ushered out of the door while my replacement was studiously working at {what was supposed to be} my desk. Needless to say, I learned some pretty strong life lessons that day. The first one was to ALWAYS take my responsibilities seriously - I felt like a real jerk that day. The second lesson was that I am a girl that will do the darndest things for the right pair of shoes.

Thinking back on it now, the shoes probably definitely weren't worth it. But, I giggle each and every time that this crazy story pops into my head when I slip these babies on. That's probably the reason why I've  held onto these shoes for so long. That, and the fact that they're the comfiest pair of heels that I own AND they just happen to look oh so good on days when I only want to wear the hubby's shirt and a pair of skin tight white jeans. Whatever the reason, I suppose it's also good to know that even little girls that do the darndest things for shoes figure it out eventually.
